Luke Cage Netflix Series Review

I have to say I’ve been really impressed with the Marvel shows on Netflix, Daredevil and Jessica Jones were both awesome and now we have Luke Cage which I’ve been interested in this show ever since he showed up on Jessica Jones plus I just like Luke Cage as a character.

So the show starts off a little slow with a villain that is just kind of the typical mob boss that we’ve seen before with Fisk but he’s still interesting. The soundtrack is really well done by the way with various hip hop tracks and other genres while also having a soundtrack that reminds me of a 70s crime drama which I thought was really cool how the show is modern but has a 70s tv series spin on it in a way. At least that’s how I viewed it. The action scenes once again are well done, there’s one scene in particular that really shows off Luke’s powers which was shown in the first teaser trailer for the show. I thought I would have enjoyed it more if I didn’t already see it in the trailer. The writing is very good and Luke Cage even has some cheesy one liners that a comic book character like him should have. The show is entertaining to the end, when episode 7 hit, for me that was the episode that just flips everything on its head and the show really starts with an interesting story line. I can’t really say much without spoiling the show because a lot happens that pushes the show from a good comic book show to an amazing one, I definitely recommend it.

I feel like this post was a little shorter than usual but I just wanted to share some thoughts on the show that I binged in one day haha. Have you seen Luke Cage and what did you think of it? Anyways thank you for reading! Bye for now!
